We are offering a powerhouse of a program that offers the following line up:
Roundtable Discussion: Improve your on-site inspection processes on-site by discussing the various processes inspectors use to document findings in a report writing software.
Topics will include the on-site inspection process, types of tools used to record and document findings such as a tablet, phone, notepad etc.; how to organize and document defects within one system and process and procedure onsite and off site too.

Report Writing and the Use of Scribeware: During this program, you will be encouraged to re-think how you document and write about the defects found on an inspection. Also, how to break out of the mold that many inspection writing software programs create and write a report that will make sense to the consumer.
Topics will include how to report on a system with multiple defects; how to avoid being redundant and to inform a client in a logical manner of the defects discovered; how to break the frame work of many report writing software programs and deliver a report that reads coherently and consistently. Our presenter will compare and contrast popular report writing software with Scribeware.

Energy Efficient Construction, New Regulations and Case Study of failures meeting HERS rating on Renovation of 100 Year old home: This presentation is designed to inform home inspectors of building pactices in energy efficient construction; new regulations and a case study of a retrofit of a 100 year old building that subsequently failed the blower door test.
Topics Include: Construction methods and products used to make buildings / homes more energy efficient; new regulations in terms of energy efficiency ahd the role of Heat pumps in reducing carbon foot print; the benefits and draw backs to spray foam insulation and case study of the renovated building that failed the blower test after a gut renovation as the installation of closed cell spray foam.
